The pre-solo stage
check is a critical step which must be taken before
a student is Endorsed for solo flight

This helps to ensure
the safety of the student during their first solo
and subsequent solo flights

The stage check puts
the student in an environment where the check-flight
instructor acts as an observer (instead of a teacher),
and as such closely resembles the scenario of a
solo flight

The observing instructor
should intervene as little as possible

This is not a "checkride,"
rather a routine flight in which the student will
perform tasks that they have been practicing with
their regular instructor on a regular basis

The goal of this
stage check is for the observing instructor to determine
if the student has the necessary knowledge and skills
to perform the tasks required for solo in a safe
and consistent manner

reviewed by your instructor.
