In this stage of
your training, you will learn how to plan and
execute flights to other airports at greater distances
- "cross-country flying" is the main
objective of becoming a pilot. The FAA defines
a Cross-County Flight as one with landing at an
airport least 50nm from your departure airport.
FAA requirement:§ 61.93 Solo cross-country
flight requirements- states among other things
that at least 5 ofthe 10 hours of required solo
time, should be Solo Cross-Country time.
